About Quintina
The Quintina Trio was founded in 1997 in Curitiba / Brazil to dedicate to the repertoire of Brazilian popular music, especially within the styles “Samba” and “Choro”. Essentially the name “Quintina Trio” refers to the five musical elements (guitar, guitar, flute, percussion and voice) performed by only three musicians at the beginning of the group’s career.
Since 2014 Trio Quintina entered into a partnership with saxophonist Marcio Schuster, residing in Munich / Germany, and because of the great musical affinity that encounter became a new concert concept with greater focus on instrumental music. Marcio saxophone brings to all the melodic virtuosity without exaggeration with its beautiful sound and impeccable execution, as well as modern and bold compositions.
O Trio Quintina surgiu em 1997 em Curitiba/Brasil com a proposta de se dedicar ao repertório de música popular brasileira, principalmente dentro dos estilos “Samba” e “Choro”. Essencialmente o nome “Trio Quintina” se refere aos cinco elementos musicais (violão, guitarra, flauta, percussão e voz) executados por apenas três músicos no início da carreira do grupo.
Desde 2014 o Trio Quintina firmou uma parceria com o saxofonista Marcio Schuster, residente em Munique/Alemanha, e devido à grande afinidade musical esse encontro se tornou um novo concerto com foco maior na música instrumental. O saxofone de Marcio traz ao conjunto o virtuosismo melódico sem exageros com sua bela sonoridade e execução impecáveis, além de composições modernas e ousadas.
